run for the hills
This cinematic and lively performance featured three new works centered on themes of growth, attachment, and belonging. Founder and Artistic Director Faith Rokowski anchors the program with a horror movie-inspired piece about collective anxiety, the uncanny, and attachment. Work from Rebecca Scruggs about feuding pirate crews, and a piece from Rachael Alexandra about the subjectivity of experience, purity culture, and the validation of women and girls’ experiences rounded out the evening.
Premiered March 13, 14 and 15 at Dance Place to a sold out audience and featured a cast of nearly 40 dancers.
