Faith Rokowski (she/her) danced recreationally while growing up in Massachusetts from the age of 3, primarily in ballet, tap, jazz, jazz-funk, and lyrical. She earned her degree in Political Science from American University, where she danced and choreographed for AU In Motion. Since then, she has performed with groups around the DMV, and earned her choreography certification from the ICONS Choreographic Institute in May 2023. In addition to her work with the Collective, she is a teacher and Senior Administrator at Bethesda Dance Center.

Her first work, they had light inside, premiered at Atlas Performing Arts Center in 2023, and was restaged and expanded as part of the 2023-24 Dance Place Co-Presentation Series. She most recently premiered it’s the universe in there (Dance Loft presents! series, fast and…, April 2025).

Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Rebecca Scruggs received rigorous dance training at BalletNova Center for Dance in Falls Church, Virginia. Summer intensives with programs like Joffrey Jazz & Contemporary in New York City and with companies like Christopher K. Morgan & Artists, have expanded Rebecca’s movement repertoire. Rebecca received conservatory-level training in acting, directing and technical theatre and is a member of the International Thespian Society. She also studied voice with Harnes Selway Arts. In 2018, Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Shenandoah University. Since 2021, Rebecca has assisted Craig Lawrence with stage combat courses and FightGuy Photography as a photography assistant broadening her artistic scope. Rebecca currently teaches at DanceXpressions Performing Arts Center, takes dance classes to maintain her training, and models occasionally with local photographers

Rachael Alexandra

Rachael Alexandra is a dancer, choreographer, producer, visual artist, and teacher based in Maryland. Rachael began her dance training at the age of five, studying under the direction of Alycia Carlson, Jenae Jones, and Jaclyn Martin. She later trained under the direction of Sandra Atkinson, Ryan Corriston, Cynthia Thompson, and Edward Franklin. As a choreographer, Rachael is known for her theatrical interpretation of modern and contemporary dance, as well as her approach to topics of race, gender, social injustice, and family. Through her work, she echoes the feminist sentiment that “the personal is political,” drawing connections between our daily lives and systemic injustice and oppression. Rachael’s most celebrated works include “Songs My Mother Taught Me” (2019), “Choose Your Own Adventure” (2022), “REMEMBRANCE IS RESISTANCE” (2023), “Black.Dancing.Bodies.” (2024), “Mother-Daughter Fight Club” (2024), and “Surviving Whole” (2025). In 2023, Rachael worked together with Caitlin Mitchell to co-found DanceShareDC, a newsletter and Instagram account which promotes dance events in the DC Metro area. In 2024, she founded the Platform Black Dance Festival, a dance festival for Black dance artists of all genres. Rachael has danced for many exceptional choreographers and companies, including Alvin Mayes, Karen Reedy, Erica Rebollar, Sinclair Imogene, Ronnique Antoinette, Roberta Rothstein, LightSwitch Dance Theatre, Uprooted Dance, and Effervescence Collective. Rachael holds a B.A. in Dance from James Madison University (2016), a certification in choreography from the ICONS Choreographic Institute (2019), and a M.F.A. in Dance from Hollins University (2024).
