mes amis s’ennuient!
Choreographed by Sarah Coady and in collaboration with dancers
It is through imaginative play that we first build expressive and receptive language, think critically, and practice self-regulation. Imaginative play allows us the freedom to construct new environments to explore and new characters to inhabit. In Mystery Date, nostalgic childhood games inform a movement practice designed to explore themes of imagined environments, perception, and attachment/detachment to reality. Dancers and audience members remain in constant dialogue as both groups inhabit a black box theater turned playground, board game, toy box.
